Linking Gender Based Violence victims to the special services using mobile phone apps

Rosalia Health Innovation Team

This initiative aims at designing or creating pathways integrated into healthcare whereby victims or survivors of Gender-Based Violence will be referred to, for help( legal, police, shelters, counselling) etc

This will be achieved by designing a referral system using mobile phone platform that will link Gender-Based Violence survivors or victims to the medical, police, legal and other special services.

The project will involve the following steps:

Designing a prototype of a mobile phone platform for referral pathways. and testing it.

Bringing awareness to the public via posters, flyers, TV, SMS. On the advertised platform, the number or code will be provided, whereby victims of GBV can call or send SMS. Then they will be directed or linked to the medical, legal, police, Sexual and Reproductive Health Services etc. Then, victims or survivors will be monitored and followed up to the completion of services.
