Evaluation, Capacity building

The main purpose for each site visit was to gain a deeper understanding of the projects ISIF Asia supported, not to conduct in depth project evaluations. Most site visits were organized aligned with outreach events to maximize the effectiveness of funds used. The ISIF Asia coordinator visited five projects, and three of the site visits were conducted in tandem with U-FE ad ResCom mentoring workshops. Only one project was visited by both. The site visits were documenting using photographs, videos, and blog articles.

The site visits allowed ISIF Asia to gain a deeper understanding of: 1) the context in which the supported organization operates, partnerships with other organizations and relationships with project beneficiaries; 2) the problematic that the project addressed; 3) the solution proposed; 4) the results that the project achieved and 5) the challenges the organizations face for future development.
