Mobile Solar Lab is a mobile solar-powered hub that is made of canvas tents and fitted with computers with internet access that are powered by a solar panel. This project aims to reach out to girls in 6 (Kapolowe; Samuanda; Luambo; Masuika; Kamako; Luiza) rural marginalized villages in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Here rural youths and marginalized girls can access basic computer skills, business development and mentorship so that they can run businesses and uplift their families out of poverty. Mobile Solar Lab is innovative and flexible because it meets youths and girls in rural villages at their point of need and thus empowering them to create posterity.
