Stimulating innovation and entrepreneurship among women in ICTs project seek to help final year undergraduate female students in ICT sector from Mbarara University of Science and Technology to create their own jobs and for others after graduation and thus do not have to compete for limited jobs in Uganda.
This initiative aims to achieve this by providing training to help fresh university graduates turn their undergraduate project ideas into operating businesses. This also includes: providing hands-on assistance, business strategy mentorship, management, marketing, financial, legal, and product development assistance. Furthermore, the project aims to link prospective female entrepreneurs with mentors, venture capitalists and other investors who would want to invest in their businesses.
